FAQ

Can a Pender County horse owner get help with hay, grain, or fencing?

Cape Fear Equine Rescue lists a community assistance program that can provide hay or grain and help repair needed fencing.

Does Penderosa Rescue have rideable horses for adoption?

No. Penderosa states that its current equines are not rideable, so it is better suited to sanctuary and rehabilitation needs than to finding a riding horse.

Do these rescues accept dogs, cats, or other non-equine animals?

Cape Fear Equine Rescue focuses on equines. Penderosa’s rescue family includes cats and kittens, but the listed rescue and sanctuary services center on horses.

Are adoption fees or response times listed?

The provided information does not state adoption fees or response times. Cape Fear publishes current-horse profiles and an adoption application, so availability and terms need to be confirmed directly.
